Biography

Richard Friswell is a twice-national award-winning writer in the fields of fine art, architecture, design, history and ultimately—in the human condition.  His articles have appeared in numerous regional design and shelter magazines, in corporate publications and on a variety of Web sites.

He is a recognized authority in the field of early and mid-20th century art and design, a lecturer in art history and fine art collecting and a successful landscape painter, as well as being a writer.

The focus of his writing assignments has always been to find the compelling human interest story behind the story and to ‘paint a picture in words” that conveys both the facts and the emotions that makes his work both riveting and engaging.

Mr. Friswell provides galleries, fine arts retailers, small business owners and print media publishers:

  • Complete edited documents based on careful research, interviews and site visits
  • Coordination with photographers and art director for final layout
  • Image sourcing, licensing/use procurement
  • Scripts and narratives to accompany video streaming, documentary, news and training material
  • News releases, press kits, biographies and professional profiles
  • Assisted-writing projects for those with their own story to tell!
